When I´m running full boost (1.8 bar) I can´t get over 5500 rpm.
If running only 1 bar there is no problems.
Sounds like the ignitions cutting the plugs.
I´ve just renewed the plugs. Didn´t help.
Dizzy is 30000 km old.
Any ideas ???
Boost still 1.8 when it cuts. GT30R turbo. Remap and all. It has been running with this setup for a long time. Boost is controlled by N75.
It doesn´t just cut once. The problem stays and no power. And it is every time.
Have you tried to run high octane fuel to see if the problem goes away? Pinging could be your issue... who mapped the car? what does the tuner say? That's the sort of thing I'd have him look at, rather than ask on a forum, because I do think it's a mapping problem IMHO...

Asking on a forum is a good idea, peoples experiences answer most problems on this enthusiasts forum, it might not have a mapping problem if the car was running ok before, why should it change?? With a map it either works well or doesnt work well, if it was a mapping problem wont he have had the problem since day one of it being mapped?. Could it be fuel related?? Mine broke its speed record 1 month ago, since then i have half baked a turbo and lost alot of top end performance. This was probably due to my knackered fuel pump. I am far from being an expert on the electronics of these cars, but as far as i can see it cant be that complex being 12 year old technology and a 256 bit ecu. Its just the hardware to access this technology is expensive.
Ask away, you dont get no where if you dont ask.

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.--:Albert Einstein
Broken HT leads wont cause it to stop revving and pulling after 5500rpm, you will notice it running on 4 cyls for example and this will cause it to 'slow' down. Sounds like a problem that has developed recently. It might be worth putting it on a rolling road to see if you can see the intake hose collapsing under high boost. I know that the 1.8T lumps suffer badly with this problem when tuned.
Have also seen it before on a URq and that was stock.
Do you have an EGT gauge? Do the readings go mad when you get this problem??

Sorry Graham, I actually got him wrong and I thought the problem had always been present... I didn't mean by any means that it's useless to ask on a forum, but usually it could be more helpful to ask the tuner directly... Now I have no clue how the car was mapped and what was actually done to it.
As for the ECU, it's not that complicated, but it still is... The hardware to get into it is not worth much, but the time and money spent on understanding it is definitely not for the faint-hearted/walleted

I don´t think I have an intake problem... :-)
I run the higest octane here (98) and I asked the tuner if there was any pinging or even close. There isn´t. It runs in the "perfect map" all the time.
Intake temp is 13 degrees celcius.
It doesn´t really stop reving. It continues up towards redline, but it is VERY slow and no power. Stuttering I think it is called.
Thank´s a lot for your time to help.
It isnt that then.. maybe you do have a plug lead broken that only plays up under high load. I had that same problem about a month ago. It turned out to be no.5 plug lead. Just try gently pulling the wire out of the rubber boot and see if they come out.

Whats the stock gap on the Bosch plugs then?? I have heard of ppl making the gap smaller so that it doesnt get blown out, but i dont have any problems on std plugs at 2 bar
